Just because a project does not get built does not mean that all was lost.
Each project is an opportunity to push the envelope and learn from the process and from all of those involved.
While these projects were not completed, the lessons learned from them are invaluable and will continue to be so.
'ELEMENTS' was conceived as a home using air, water, light and earth as its conceptual framework.
The renovation was to open up the existing home and use open grate flooring, floating stairs and large sliding doors to connect to the elements.
'O.Z. RESIDENCE' used the golden section as a proportion system to tie in the client's musical interest, architecture and nature.
It was designed to take advantage of the views and be very sensitive to the environment. Rammed earth, rainwater collection, geothermal and 'green' materials were all part of the design scheme.
